Today’s Mini Budget reflects a terminally ill Labor Government desperately reaching for a respirator as it gasps its last on a financial bed of waste, neglect and mismanagement, according to Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea.

“The omission of the long-awaited, much-touted Frenchs Forest Hospital, leaves the future of medical services to northern Sydney residents confused – at best.

“It will also place additional pressure on existing services at Mona Vale, Manly and Royal North Shore Hospital,” Mr O’Dea said.

“The stalled plans for a Frenchs Forest Hospital are testimony to a Government, blinded to the needs of northern residents and paralysed by inept financial management.

“Labor’s inability to see the forest for the trees on this issue, has left northern residents unable to see their long-awaited Frenchs Forest Hospital for the trees – those left standing on a languishing, undeveloped site,” Mr O’Dea said.
