A recent survey of the Electorate of Davidson highlighted health and over-development as the key concerns for constituents, according to Jonathan O’Dea, the local State Member for Davidson.

“Of the 250 survey responses, almost 50 percent ranked hospitals and health concerns as the top issue. The next highest priority identified by locals was over-development, followed by roads and water management,” Mr O’Dea said.

“The fifth ranked area was crime, drugs and graffiti. Public transport was sixth, with longsuffering commuters perhaps becoming accustomed to the poor quality of service on trains and buses.

“Climate Change and the environment was seventh, closely followed by schools and education. State taxes and charges along with small business issues made up the list of areas to prioritise.

“The Commission of Inquiry into the NSW Health system must deliver for all taxpayers. The Government must improve health services at Royal North Shore Hospital and allocate proper funds to build the Frenchs Forest Hospital as an urgent priority.

“The grab for power by Planning Minister Frank Sartor with the imposition of the Planning Panel at Ku-ring-gai Council demonstrates why constituents are concerned about over-development, as does the Government’s general push for increased development densities across Davidson.”
