Roseville and Killara Train Stations are ranked in the top 10 railway stations in NSW most in need of lifts, yet they are languishing on the waitlist for vital access upgrades.

Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea said it is important to upgrade railway stations across Sydney and NSW to provide improved access to the rail transport system for local communities.

“My local community deserves to have these stations upgraded for easy access. It has been a long wait for local commuters who struggle with the existing stairs. We need lifts to allow disabled people, the elderly and parents with prams to easily access trains,” said Mr O’Dea.

“I encourage locals to sign my petition and express their views on the need for easy access upgrades for Roseville and Killara Stations,” Mr O’Dea said.

A recent article in The Sydney Morning Herald about government analysis in 2013 showed that, out of the 100 stations identified as the most deserving for upgrades, Roseville and Killara Stations in the Davidson electorate were 8th and 9th respectively on the list.

“I again call on the Transport Minister to provide easy access upgrades for Roseville and Killara stations, and look forward to further conveying my constituents’ views to him soon,” Mr O’Dea concluded.
